What Can I Put in a Dumpster in Vineland NJ?

Vineland Trash and Recycling

The following items may be recycled:

  • Cans, cardboard, glass, paper, plastic

Please DO NOT recycle the following items:

  • No Plastic Bags or Plastic Wrap, No Food or Liquid (empty all containers), No Tanglers (no hoses, wires, chains, or electronics), No Bulky Plastics, No Scrap Metal

NO Electric equipment is picked up curbside:

  • All electric equipment (TVs, VCRs, DVD players, computers, monitors, laptops, copiers, and printers) must be dropped off at the Public Works Complex located at: 1086 E. Walnut Road (Road Department)

Trash Regulations:

  • Collection Days: Monday/Thursday; Tuesday/Friday; Wednesday/Saturday.
  • (2) trash collection days (1) recycling day per week
  • Construction waste/debris, demolition debris, wood pallets, renovation materials, hazardous waste, car parts, tree stumps, animal carcasses, electronics, any type of motors or furnaces are prohibited from curbside pick-up
  • Plastic Bags are prohibited in your recycling container, drop them off at a store that collects them or put them in your trash.

Brush & Branches:

  • Only 2-3 small bundles of branches or twigs not exceeding three (3) feet will be picked up on trash day. This is during the specified brush pickup schedule only, everyone has a once a month pickup. Large amounts can be placed at the curb (not in roadway) to be picked up by the Road Dept.

Grass Clippings:

  • Can be left out, they must be placed in plastic bags, but not mixed with leaves or other debris. Bags can not weigh more than 40 pounds and only 4 bags will be picked up on trash day. If there are more than 4 bags they are able to be placed inside your trash can.

Loose leaves:

  • Can be placed curbside (not in the roadway) during their designated pick up season only and are picked up by the Road Department. Bagged leaves must be called in to the Road Department when you want them to be picked up. Residents can also bring their leaves to the Free Material Handling Facility on Mill Road.

Rugs and floor

  • Coverings have to be rolled, folded & cut into lengths not exceeding 4 feet. They must be tied tightly with rope or cord, and no more than 4 rolls per trash day will be collected.

Tires

  • Are collected on the Friday of your brush pickup week. Place you tires at the curb the Wednesday before to ensure your pickup. Tires collected must be from personal standard vehicles, no larger than 18” with or without rims. There is a maximum of six per collection day and you can’t exceed eighteen tires per household per year.

Appliances

  • you must call (856) 794-4089 to schedule a pick up. Acceptable appliances are those designated for household use, i.e. refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, A/C units, water heaters, humidifiers, trash compactors, dishwashers, dehumidifiers, etc.
